How do you allow our service to use your camera?

It depends on the device and browser you are using. Please find your browser/device from the table of content and navigate to the relevant section.

If you have previously blocked access to the camera as in the video, then follow the instructions below:

  • Open the permission tab icon on the left-hand side of the URL bar.
  • Allow GetID access to the camera.
  • Click on the “Retry” button to make a photo.
  • Open the permission tab icon on the left-hand side of the URL bar.
  • Allow GetID access to the camera by clearing the permission to use the camera.
  • Click on the “Retry” button or reload the page.
  • Allow using the camera when asked again.
  • Open the camera permission on the left-hand side of the URL bar.
  • Click on the “Clear this settings and reload” button.
  • Allow using the camera when asked.
  • Open the permission tab icon on the left hand side of the URL bar.
  • Allow GetID to access the camera.
  • Click on the “Retry” button or refresh the page.

If you have previously blocked access to the camera, then follow the instructions below:

  • Open "Preferences".
  • Click the “Websites” tab and make sure that a Camera is allowed for our site.
  • Navigate back to our site and click on the “Retry” button or reload the page.

You can also use an alternative method:

  • Open “Settings for This Website”.
  • Click on the Camera setting.
  • Choose “Allow” for camera permission.
  • Navigate back to our site and click on the “Retry” button or reload the page.

  • On the Privacy and security page scroll down to the Permissions section.
  • On the Permissions section click on the Camera Settings.
  • Choose “Allow” for camera permission and click Save Changes.
  • Navigate back to our website and click on the “Retry” button or reload the page.

  • Allow GetID to access the camera.
  • Click on the “Retry” button or refresh the page.

Alternative method:

  • Open “Preferences”.
  • On the Settings page click on “Cookies and site permissions” tab.
  • On the Site settings page, click on the site URL.
  • Choose “Allow” for camera permission.
  • Navigate back to our website and click on the “Retry” button or reload the page.
  • Open the camera permission on the left-hand side of the URL bar.
  • Allow GetID access to the camera.
  • Allow using the camera when asked.

  • On the Settings page click on “Privacy and security” tab.
  • On the Privacy and security page click on “Site settings”.
  • On the Site settings page click on the site URL.
